HOW TO DO A SEATED CABLE CHEST PRESS
These are a fab isolation movement to really bias the sternal muscles in your chest
Again lots of people may shy away from doing these because they’re unsure how - but they’re actually easy to do once you break them down
Set the cables below your shoulders and behind you so you can start in movement in a pre stretch and lengthened position
Make sure the the bench is a body width or so distance from the cables so you can get a full stretch
Shoulders back and slight bend in your elbows
Cuffs are preferable to keep your forearms and elbows out of the movement (FIND OUT WHERE TO PURCHASE YOURS BY HITTING OUR ’ALL THE GEAR NO IDEA’ section but if none are available use d handles and set up in exactly the same way (except you get slightly less range of motion with these as you can’t cross over your arms each time and can’t stretch as far back…)
Slow and controlled on the way back in towards the cables and squeeze nice and quick on the way out!
